Representing landowners and occupiers affected by infrastructure schemes including electricity, water and gas, and road schemes.  Currently engaged in the United Utilities’ West Cumbria Water Supplies Project.

A Registered Valuer with the RICS, undertaking valuations of rural property for a variety of purposes.

Agricultural Planning
Providing advice in respect of agricultural planning matters and producing agricultural planning appraisals in support of agricultural dwellings.

Landlord and Tenant
Providing advice on Landlord and Tenant matters including tenancies held under the Agricultural Holdings Act and Agricultural Tenancies Act.

Rural Support Schemes
Completion of Basic Payment Scheme applications and capital grant applications.

Property Sales and Acquisitions
Dealing with all aspects of land and rural property sales and acquisitions.

Compulsory Purchase & Compensation
Experience in Compulsory Purchase, particularly in relation to highways, negotiating on the acquisition of land, accommodation works and managing compensation claims.


Education & Qualifications        

  • BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management – Harper Adams University College
  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • Fellow of Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV)


Hobbies & Interests         

Cooking and baking, breeding rare breed poultry and being at home on the farm.



Cumbrian born and bred, live on a farm with my husband in West Cumbria. I initially worked for H&H Bowe as a Secretary before leaving to undertake my degree to become a Chartered Surveyor. Worked in Shropshire and Lancashire before returning to H&H Land & Estates.
