With so many new grants and schemes available for rural businesses, it can be difficult to get a handle on what you might be eligible for. There is often an overwhelming amount of detail and boxes to tick which is why we hosted a Rural Grants & Schemes webinar to inform farmers and landowners of the different opportunities available to them in 2022.

The hour-long webinar took place on Tuesday 8th February at 7pm and was chaired by H&H Land & Estates Chartered Surveyor, Robert Jauneika who explains further: “Rural grants and schemes can be daunting for farmers and landowners. There are so many changes facing the industry and often there is a lot of information to digest.

“The webinar will focus on a number of current industry topics from the new ELM schemes to Countryside Stewardship and Investment Funding and will include keynote speakers who will be well equipped to answer any questions.”

Featuring speakers from the H&H Land & Estates team, the webinar takes the following format:

  • David Morley - the new ELM schemes (Sustainable Farming Incentive, Local Nature Recovery scheme and Landscape Recovery)
  • Emma Smith - Countryside Stewardship (Higher Tier and Mid Tier)
  • Nick Mullins - Countryside Stewardship Capital Grants
  • Jonathan Hird - Farming Investment Fund (Farming Equipment and Technology Fund & Improving Farm Productivity grant)
  • Q&A

Robert adds: “We strive to ensure our clients are always up to date and at ease with any changes happening across the rural property sector. We ran our first webinar last year, which was a huge success, and the feedback we received highlighted the need for more accessible help in this area.

We had in the region of 400 people register and a recording of the webinar being sent to those that were unable to attend on the night. Our aim is to give our clients first-hand information on what is available in 2022 and we want to reiterate that our company is somewhere people can always go to for the latest comprehensive guidance and support.”
