The extent of the grazing rights are based on the wording 2 stints held on Sunbuggin Tarn Pasture - Regulated Common (CL96), held under entry no 31 of the commons register.
Common Rights held in gross
The stints allow the owner to graze cattle or horses. Grazing is limited between the 1st June and 1st October annually. It is a requirement that the Secretary is informed prior to the 15th March annually, if they intend to graze their stints, therefore the subject stints are not grazeable for the 2024 period.
There is a 10-year Countryside Stewardship Agreement in place over the land. The Agreement will come to an end in 2028.
Under the terms of the internal Stint Holders Agreement, horses can graze May to October (2 stints per horse). Cattle are grazed May to September (1 stint per cattle). Grazing is limited to 14 horses and 36 cattle Livestock Units.
