Is my land suitable for woodland?

When looking to create new woodland, we must first carry out a feasibility study of the site. Our team can provide expert advice on the suitability of the site for woodland creation and help to identify any potential issues that may need to be addressed. We can also advise on the most appropriate tree species to plant and how to structure the woodland creation scheme to maximise its benefits.

Grants Available For Woodland Creation

Once the feasibility study has been undertaken, our team can then assist with any grant applications. There are a number of grants available to support woodland creation. These include the English Woodland Creation Offer (administered by the Forestry Commission) and the Countryside Stewardship Woodland Creation Grant. Our team can provide advice on the most suitable grant for your individual circumstances and help with the application process, including preparing the necessary paperwork and submitting applications to the relevant governing bodies.

Maintaining A Healthy & Productive Woodland

In addition to grant applications, we can provide advice on the best way to manage your woodland to ensure its long-term health and productivity. This may involve considering factors such as thinning and coppicing to ensure the woodland remains healthy and productive. We can also assist with monitoring the woodland to assess its ecological and economic performance over time.

If you are considering creating new woodland on your land, we can offer expert support and guidance to steer you through the process from start to finish. Contact us today to learn more about how we can help you create new woodland and benefit from having trees on your land.
