Sales and Lettings of Rural Property
Experience in the sale and letting of a variety of rural property, including farms, small holdings and bare land.

Landlord and Tenant
Management of Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 tenancies, Farm Business Tenancies and Grazing Licences. Creating tenancies and providing advice on rent reviews and repairing obligations. Day to day management of the agricultural land portfolio of one of the country’s largest house builders.

Rural Support Schemes
Assistance with environmental land management schemes and Countryside Stewardship, including Mid Tier and Capital Grant applications. Advising clients on suitable options.

Valuation
RICS Registered Valuer regularly preparing valuations reports in accordance with the RICS Global Valuation Standards (Red Book), for purposes including capital taxation and pre-purchase.

Utilities, Access and Compensation
Experience acting for Landlords, Tenants and utility companies when access is required onto private land for installation, replacements or repairs. Negotiating access and compensation for any loss and disturbance. 

 

Education & Qualifications

  • MRICS – Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Probationer member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV).
  • Honours Degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management, Harper Adams University, graduating in 2018.

Background

Grew up in a small rural village at the foot of the North Yorkshire Moors. Worked at H&H Land & Estates for a year whilst on placement from university, then returned full time as a Graduate Surveyor in August 2018. Qualified as a Rural Chartered Surveyor in 2022.
