Utilities, Access and Compensation
Experience acting for Landlords, Tenants and utility companies when access is required onto private land for installation, replacements or repairs. Negotiating access and compensation for any loss and disturbance. 

Rural Support Schemes
Assistance with environmental land management schemes and Countryside Stewardship including Capital Grant applications. Advising clients on suitable options.

Landlord & Tenant   
Management of Farm Business Tenancies, Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 tenancies and Grazing Licences. Creating tenancies and providing advice on rent reviews and repairing obligations.

Sales and Lettings of Rural Property
Experience in the sale and letting of a variety of rural property, including farms, small holdings and bare land.

Valuation
Preparing valuations reports in accordance with the RICS Global Valuation Standards (Red Book), for purposes including capital taxation and pre-purchase.

 

Education & Qualifications

  • Probationer member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Probationer member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV).
  • Honours Degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management, Harper Adams University, graduating in 2020.

Background

From a rural background, being brought up in Arkengarthdale in the Yorkshire Dales. Worked at H&H Land & Estates on my placement year from university, then returned as a Graduate Surveyor in September 2020.
