Education & Qualifications:
Yasmin has a BSc (Hons) in Conservation Biology which she studied at the University of Cumbria with a special interest in genetics, as well as completing her Livestock Technician apprenticeship with Myerscough college.
Hobbies & interests:
(Attempting) to train a black Labrador and border collie, spending time on her partners hill farm, cosy pubs, folk music and trying traditional crafts such as hide tanning, spinning yarn, lino printing and can often be found foraging in the hedgerows!
Background:
With a previous career in the care sector, Yasmin then transferred to conservation where she worked in captive breeding and genetic research on an endangered freshwater species. Following this, a move to practical farming enabled her to further her livestock and farm management skills in dairy, hill and regenerative farming which has led to her current role as Environment & Conservation advisor here at H&H Land & Estates.
