Environmental Improvement Plan 2023

Following last week’s update on ELMS, the Government has since released the Environmental Improvement Plan 2023.

This is the first revision of the Government’s 25 Year Environment Plan and includes plans to restore nature, improve environmental quality and increase the prosperity of the country.

With 262 pages to read through, our team are hard at work deciphering and digesting the information released to be able to advise on what this means for farmers, landowners and business owners. Essentially, this plan will set the scene for an “ambitious roadmap for a cleaner, greener country”. It is the legislative backdrop from the Environment Act and Agriculture Act.
