Land Agency Division Move Offices to Rural Location on the Outskirts of Kendal

To meet the growing demands for our range of land agency, environmental, and forestry services, we have completed the relocation of our Land Agency team to new offices in Staveley as part of our continuing expansion in the South Lakes region.

Led by Director Mark Barrow and Rachel Bagshaw as Head of Land Agency (South Lakes), the relocation will make the team more accessible and strengthens the firms desire to be at the forefront in advising the rural property sector across the South Lakes and North Lancashire.

Conscious of the ever-changing landscape of farming and the rural property market, we believe the office relocation highlights our commitment to providing a  comprehensive range of professional services and support.  A team of eight qualified rural specialists will continue to offer a complete range of services incorporating, rural property sales and lettings advice, RICS compliant property valuations , estate management, environmental and forestry matters from its base at the Cumbria Tourism Business Centre, Staveley.

With open plan offices and conference facilities, this new location is quite literally at the gateway to the Lake District, providing an easily accessible base for clients. On welcoming the company, to its centre, Managing Director of Cumbria Tourism, Gill Haigh, said: “Cumbria Tourism’s Staveley HQ is a thriving hub of different businesses and it’s fantastic to welcome H&H Land & Estates to our spacious offices. There are a number of complementary companies in tenancy and H&H are a great new addition to the growing community of businesses operating here.”

Returning after three years to the agency where he began his career, Mark will focus on working with his team to expand the company’s Land Agency operations in the South Lakes and across North Lancashire.

We have a proactive and skilled team here at Staveley and I am absolutely delighted to be a part of it. As a company H&H Land & Estates have been advising land and property owners, farmers, and other rural businesses for decades, and in recent times the team has evolved and expanded to enable to offer clients specialist advice and services across every aspect of rural property related management.

In the current climate of uncertainty, it has never been more important for farmers and landowners to seek the best advice on the potentials and pitfalls of the new grants and funding options becoming available. The landscape is changing dramatically, and the agri-sector at all levels is adjusting to a whole new approach centered around new targets such as nutrient neutrality and biodiversity net gain. Our combination of land management expertise and specialist environmental and arborist skills can play a key role in ensuring that our farmers and landowners understand the new landscape clearly, and can make the most of the new opportunities it offers them and their land and property assets.

As a firm believer in the H&H Land & Estates ethos of building long term relationships; it’s vital for us to take the time to understand the very specific drivers and needs behind every farming enterprise we work with, and this ensures we can continuously look for new and better ways to help each business as well as the wider agricultural industry here in the north west. Over the course of the next 12 months we will be running a series of roadshows and further developing our on-farm face to face visits as much as we possibly can.
